Details:
Didn't look very promising on Thursday night over Aberdeenshire, lots of medium and hight cloud, but I knew there was a decent aurora in progress, so ventured out to check out the night sky. Fortunately the high clouds thinned out, and just when the aurora got active, the low clouds parted enough for me to get a decent view, a lucky break. Composed of 2 images taken at 2322 UT with a Canon 6d, Samyang 14mm lens, f2.8, ISO 1600, 5 second exposures, stitched using hugin.
