Details:
It was a perfect night for Perseids - clear, warm, dry, no bugs, wonderful for lying back and watching the stars and meteors. It's rare to get such a fine confluence of conditions for the annual Perseids.
This is a composite of 35 images taken from 11 pm to 2:30 am MDT, from southern Alberta, during hours straddling the predicted normal peak of the Perseids. I shot 200 images with a camera on a tracker during the 3.5 hours, and 35 picked up meteors, most Perseids, though you can see a couple of sporadics here. The radiant point in Perseus is nicely pointed out by the streaking Perseids.
