Venus reached its maximum brightness yesterday. Venus shows a crescent shape and it can be captured with a high-zoom compact digital camera without a telescope. Nikon COOLPIX P510 digital camera (no telescope); ISO 100, F5.9, 1/800s exposure, f=1000mm (trimmed)
