Details:
I was at the CRS-5 launch this morning, watching and recording video from across the Indian River with my 8" LX200 and a Canon T5i camera. I was able to catch the first stage during its powered descent as it fell back to earth on the first ever attempt to soft-land on a barge out in the Atlantic ocean. Here are still images from my video of this bold attempt to recover the first stage.
