The comet's bright coma was easily visible in binoculars. The second image is a starless version to show more tail detail. Image details: Exposure: 31 x 180 second exposures at ISO 800 [93 minutes total exposure] Camera: Canon EOS 60Da Filter: Astronomik CLS clip-in filter Telescope: Orion ED80 with .85x Focal Reducer Mount: Losmandy G-11 Guider: Orion SSAG through ST80 Date: 1/9/2014 Time: 23:43-01:21 GMT (6:43-8:21pm EST) Exposures shot RAW in BYEOS. Stacked in Deep Sky Stacker using star-trails comet mode, and processed in Photoshop
