Details:
There was a fortunate moment where a plane flew over the 'un-eclipsed' face of our Sol, and I happened to capture it. You can also see the large sunspot group AR 2192 near the limb of the moon. I shot this through an 8" Meade reflector with a 40 mm eyepiece. Part of the sun is sliced off near the bottom of this image due to an unfortunate tracking error.
