Details:
We were camping in our camper along the Mackenzie highway when the Auroras started at 9.15PM.It was still balmy from a hot day (28C/82F) and we were wearing short sleeves, shorts and flip-flops. We decided to drive to a pond that we had found earlier. A lynx crossed the road! Now the sky was really full of greens, most in the East and West, some in the North and even in the South. We had not seen that before. A beaver wacked his tail on the water in the pond and another one chewed down a tree and started to drag it around. Well, we hope that is was we were hearing from across the pond. Close by an animal was scurrying through the dead leaves, something small, maybe a porcupine. But after just seeing a lynx, every sound made us jumpy. It started to get a little chillier and sweatshirts and long pants were coming out.
