THESE CREPUSCULAR RAYS WERE PHOTOGRAPHED AT SUNRISE IN THE WEST FROM A TRIPLE REFLECTION OF THE RISING SUN IN SOUTH FLORIDA. THE FIRST PHOTO IS LOOKING WEST OVER THE EVERGLADES OF THE CREPUSCULAR RAYS. THE 2ND PHOTO IS THE CLOUD FORMATION THAT CREATED THE ANGLE OF REFLECTION TO CAUSE THE CREPUSCULAR RAYS IN THE WEST. 1ST REFLECTION UP FROM STRATOCUMULUS OVER THE ATLANTIC, 2ND REFLECTION DOWN AND WEST FROM ANVIL BLOW OFF OF THUNDERSTORM OVER ATLANTIC, THIRD REFLECTION UP AND EAST OFF OF STRATOCUMULUS OVER THE EVERGLADES TO CREATE THE CORRECT ANGLE FOR CREPUSCULAR RAYS IN THE WEST AT SUNRISE. PHOTOS TAKEN WITH NOKIA 920 PHONE.

jeff, the rays arent reflections, the dark is shadow, the rays are just the regular sunlight illuminating the water vapor/ dust/ stuff in the air. the rays apparent angles are a trick to the eye called parallax.
