Details:
It is extremely cold. 10 degrees Fahrenheit at 2:10PM EST. Venus is only 4 days from inferior conjunction. Used a garage to block the sun and scanned north east. The crescent is huge and whisper thin. Used a 100mm Refractor with 190x magnification and an IPAD to take this photograph! Venus is only 0.8% illuminated! You can see the scintillating effect here as the crescent is so thin.
