Details:
15 minutes total exposure time of Comet Lovejoy the morning of Nov 4th. Vintage Celestron C6 f 5 reflector (1200mm effective focal length after the crop factor) on a CGEM mount; Canon 550D, 4 exposures @ ISO 6400, 5 exposures @ ISO 3200, 21 exposures @ ISO 1600; all 30 second exposures. Comet ISON was a 6 1/2 minute total exposure; 13 - 30 seconds @ ISO 1600. The clouds moved in on us rapidly resulting in the short exposure times! Deep Sky Stacker and Adobe Photoshop to stack on comet and process. Ps. For warm-up; The Ring Nebula, M57, 2 - 10 seconds @ ISO 1600, 2 - 30 seconds @ ISO 800, 80 seconds total exposure. The Andromeda Galaxy is a mere 7 1/2 minute total exposure! 6 @6400, 2 @3200, and 7 @1600, all 30 seconds each.
