Details:
A wonderful eclipse worth staying up all night for: no wind, an earlier rain shower had cleared the air, it was just cool enough to require a coat; coffee and cocoa were appreciated at intervals. Watching the moonset just beat out sunrise by minutes was marvelous. In 8x56 binoculars the blue band due to ozone was most visible about halfway through each side of partial eclipse.
On average I would rate this eclipse as Danjon 2, but it's a compromise. The Moon's darker side nearer the center of Earth's shadow should be 1 while the other side was considerably brighter with a dull red color that would rate 3.
