Details:
For my 88th eclipse of the Sun I traveled to South Africa where the weather forecast was most favorable and saw a 5.7% coverage of the Sun. This was a very easy observation to make and sky conditions were picture perfect. Only my wife and I were at the Grande Roche Hotel in Paarl with nobody else even being aware of the eclipse. A terrific experience with good weather, no crowds or issues at all. 3 photos attached showing maximum eclipse, 1st contact and last contact during the 85 minute spectacle.
