Details:
As promised, Canon R5 shots, 14mm 2.8 prime lens. This was the anticipated Monday evening extravaganza that ended up going South, er uh, well, North. The Bz planted itself firmly in the north and while it was disappointing, it definitely demonstrated that while Bz-S is useful, it is not essential to seeing an auroral display, and the Monday night show had a distinctly different quality to it; a more diffuse, general coloring of much of the sky. Note the difference between these pix and the next upload featuring the 6:30 to 7:00pm Eastern, Tuesday substorm shot from very same location, The Shenandoah Valley overlook from Skyline Drive, elev abt 1400 ft.
