Details:
The Lord of the Rings and its largest moon Titan aligned in an exceptional astronomical event on the night of November 22–23, 2025. You can also see the shadow of Tethys as a dark spot and the moon Rhea as a tiny speck – a small hiccup on the right side of Saturn’s rings.
On this very night, Saturn also reached the lowest apparent inclination of its ring plane. As a result, the ring system was seen almost edge-on and reduced to an extremely thin line, giving the impression of having nearly vanished – while still remaining faintly visible as a delicate streak across the planet.
