Details:
From the moment sunset ended I could see evidence of auroras appearing in the northern sky even over the lights of a shopping center here in Egilsstadir, Iceland. I was able to take photos in spite of bright lights as green streaks and blobs appeared randomly in almost every direction. Unfortunately clouds appeared ater 10pm and yet the display kept going in spite of a nearly 99% opaque cloud deck with tiny cracks in between.Amazing display after 5 nights of constant cloud.
