I thought it strange as well when I captured a bright patch of Orange Aurora during the early morning of August 12th,2024. Photograph was taken at 2:25am from Berks County, PA. Canon R6M2 mirrorless with Canon RF 15-35 f2.8 lens -Settings were 15mm @ f2.8 ISO 3200 with a 3.5 second exposure.
