Details:
Got home from work Friday night and I already knew of the auroras. While driving down the road in Kentucky from my work place I could already see glow on the northern horizon and when I was at a stop light I got m camera mounted to the tripod and as soon as I got home I ran up the hill and did a 25 sec exposure and I was very excited. I also saw the Stationary Aurora Red ( SAR) to the south. At 3:00AM a large burst of activity hit and I could see the pinkish red rays extend all the way to the zenith and the camera showed bright red, pink, purple and magenta.
