Details:

Here it is on 4 dates. 5th, 6th, 7th and 10th January.
There was a smaller outburst on 2024 01 03 17UT. Discovered by Marcelo Souza, and confirmed about 7 hours later by Maria Eleftheriou.

Some facts:
From occultation observaations, it looks like a potato and it is possible that it was similar to comet Hale-Bopp before it was trapped by Jupiter and Saturn, or perturbed inward from the Kuiper belt, maybe only a few million years ago. It seem to have a stable almost circular orbit between Jupiter and Saturn.

If the mean diameter of 29P is 60 km ( same as Hale-Bopp ) and the density is 600 kg/m3, then g = 0.005 m/s2 ( on earth g = 9.8 m/s2 )
A 55 kg human on earth, will only weight 28 grams on the comets surface. So its large nucleus is rotating or tumbling very slowly. It is very easy for materials to come off the surface. Like on this 67P movie :
