Details:
The Sun in H-alpha for December 7, 2023. There was a HUGE prominence on the southwest limb.
In addition to imaging the Sun today, I imaged some deep sky objects last night with my Celestron RASA-8 until 2am this morning. Each was one hour of exposure. These included:
The Christmas Tree Cluster, NGC-2264, with the Cone Dark Nebula, and at the lower left of the image - Hubble's Variable Nebula, NGC-2261.
The Rosette Nebula NGC-2237.
and finally the Horsehead (Barnard 33) and Flame (NGC-2024) Nebulas in Orion.
