Details:
We were pretty far south and the aurora was not visible to the naked eye, but since we were shooting star trails our exposures were longer and picked it up. My base exposure was one minute, and I had 12 exposures layered. There was nothing around us to create a glow, and after looking up the storm, we concluded that it must have been the aurora.
