Details:
This animated view compares the aspect of the solar chromosphere at two different heights above the sunspot group. The images are taken at a 4 minute interval with an AiryLab Celestron 8 solar telescope and a DayStar 0,4A H alpha filter. Tilting the filter yields the offband image, showing a few Ellerman bombs around the main spot.
