Object/Date: C/2022 U2 (ATLAS) @ 2023 February 17, 21:29 UT Description: comet C/2022 U2 (ATLAS), imaged on February 17, 2023, is already moving away and its brightness has slightly decreased to magnitude 10.5. It has a wide green coma measuring 6 arcminutes in size but with low condensation. It is located against the background of the Milky Way in Taurus and near the Sh 2-240 nebula, a supernova remnant from which some reddish structures on its periphery can be observed.
