Details:
Unexpectedly clear weather on the 20th March Equinox provided an uninterrupted view of a spectacular brightly coloured volcanic aerosol twilight arch which appeared to the west of Mutare 25-45 minutes after sunset. This was due to a renewed influx of stratospheric aerosols from the east before sunrise the same day. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset mode.
