Details:
Here are my magnetometer data from 27th into 29th. An uptick in activity occurred when a weak CME arrived in the late hours of November 27th. However, the real kicker arrived almost 24hrs later in the wake of the initial CME when the effects of a solar wind stream from a small coronal hole struck home. This carried southerly oriented interplanetary magnetic field that linked with Earths own field creating a more intense period of geomagnetic unrest overnight here in Europe, sparking beautiful aurora around the poles.
