Details:
We drove inland to get out from under the fog at Vandenberg, stopping at Santa Ynez Airport to set up the tripod. A minute or two later and the sky lights up in the west and the rocket climbs into view. We could only follow it for a minute or less until it was lost in the higher clouds, and just about then the sound arrived - a deep low rumble that went on for two minutes.
