Mars on September 22nd. Mars shows the large canyon Valles Marineris at the center and "The Eye of Mars" just below and to the left. Also visible is the large volcano Olympus Mons just rotating into view at 10:00. Also visible are the dark surface features Aurorae Sinus at 2:00 and Niliacus Lucus at 3-4 o'clock.
