Details:
Moon on September 28th. I've also put together a comparison of this image with one I took back in July that was close to the same phase to show an example of libration. Libration is a wagging of the moon that allows us to take a peak over the northern border at times with other times a peak over the southern border. The tilt and shape of the moons orbit is what causes this and allows us to see the moon from slightly different angles at times. In the image from tonight you can see Mare Humboldtianum at 1:00 and Mare Marginis at 2:30. Also at 11:00 you are able to see more craters than the image from July.
