Details:
The first clear sky at dawn for over a week made it possible to observe the close conjunction (appulse) between the first old waning Moon of the decade and Jupiter. In the close-up of the pair taken at 4.38 am, twenty minutes after they appeared, our Moon is displaying strong Earthshine and Jupiter has three of its Moons visible in almost vertical alignment. The last two pictures are views of the conjunction in a beautiful sunrise colored twilight sky. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in manual and sunset modes with up to x40 zoom magnification.
