Details:
In Mutare encroaching cloud obscured the eclipse at maximum but brief glimpses of the slightly shaded Moon were obtained during the previous hour (first picture). In the second picture the partially eclipsed Moon surrounded by a thin cloud halo is poised directly above a dark cumulus formation. In the final picture taken at 8.46 pm, just before the Moon was covered by this cloud, the shading is more clearly visible. Camera: Tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in night scene mode with up to x60 zoom magnification.
