Details:
In this image, Orion is hiding in the trees. Ah, but try as he might, his distinctive pattern of stars still gives him away. Diminished Betelgeuse is noticeably fainter than Rigel and is presently a much closer match to neighboring Bellatrix or Saiph. This is a 10-second exposure with my Nikon D700 set on ISO 1600 and a 60mm lens at f4.2, taken tonight December 30, 2019 at 8:08pm EST from near Newnan, Georgia, USA. The color has been enhanced to emphasize the wonderfully different hues of the stars.
