Details:
Tonight the sunset was a very deep hue of purple. From other Spaceweather.com reports this may be cause by the volcanic eruptions this summer by the Raikoke volcano in the Kirul islands, and the Ulawun volcano in New Guinea. This was taken with my iPhone. It was more purple in person.
