Details:
This one was like the other recent events, seen first as pale white streaky texture appearing across the Western sky at sunset. The 'Purple Light' appeared at the top of this brighter region over the Sun as the Eastern Earth shadow began reaching the zenith. Unevenness of the light catching medium was evident through the twilight. This one was encroached upon from the North (right) by cloud shadows, which steadily spread across the display as it brightened and contracted. The purple color was especially evident in the upper twilight, with the brighter yellow orange horizon hugging component showing a sharper upper border. The absence of the Purple Light toward the North brought a striking color contrast with the more nominal blue sky.
