Details:
What appeared to be Cirrus-like high cloud structures proved to be Polar Stratosphetric Clouds of type II, the not iridescent fibrous variety of PSC. PSC are highly rare seen in the Low Countries just because of the absence of mountains. I have masked one image to make better visible the subtile structures in the cloud veil.

Apologize! Read not type II but type I, since type II is just the iridescent and lenticular variety.
