Details:
Mars is receding from Earth and is now only 9 arc seconds in size compared to when it was at opposition. It is, however, higher in the sky for me now and this image allows us to glimpse the South polar cap (uppermost) and Mare Sirenum/ Mare Cimmerium area. Neximage 5 image processed in Registax.
