On Sep 7th I was out waiting for the Sep 4th CME to make a real impact. But Miss Aurora was just teasing all night with a positive IMF ruining. Many times I thought I would get a s show, only for the auroras to vanish.. At 2:30am UTC+2 I was about to give up. Started to pack down my cameras, but just I as was putting my cameras in the car the sky exploded! WOW! I panicked!! This may be the strongest auroras I have witnessed in the last decade! And it was very colorful. In these shots lots of purple, but I captured images with rare blues. What a display and an experience! And more to come with the X9.3 associated CME.
