Details:
Last night I went to look at the moon with my Orion Xt6 dobsonian telescope to find that the moon was not a bright white color, but instead a deep orange. Confused, I searched through the internet to look for lunar eclipse dates, but nothing was happening that night. Later, I found out that it was the smoke from the fires in the Sequoia forest here in California. The next day, the 18th, with smoke still floating through the skies, even though the sun was high in the sky, everything in sight had a yellow/orange hue. The sun now resembled the color of the full moon.
