Details:
I just happened to look up and see a large bright circular object in the sky to my West @ 45 degree angle about 2 palm widths right of the sun.Thought it may be the ISS but it was stationary. After calling a local observatory,(RIT)Rochester,NY,the person on the phone said it was not Venus or anything he would know of that bright during the daytime. After coming back outside an hour later,it was directly overhead of my home.I knew it was not a star or planet so dug out my telescope.Sure enough,it was a very large high altitude balloon and guessing over 100k ft plus. I do not have a camera for my telescope so used a Canon telephoto EF 35-135 lens. I still can not find any info regarding this flight by any major agency. This was NOT a weather balloon but a home sized clear larger pumpkin type NASA would use.Let me know details if any. Last seen East of my location over the Rochester,NY area Eastbound.
