There were two areas in the sky showing these colours over a period of 20 minutes. Taken with a Canon 5D Mk111 1;3200 of a sec at F18. ISO 800 -0.3 exp. comp.

No, it is probably NOT a sundog but a part of a circumhorizontal arc, especially during summer.
