That is with a hydrogen alpha solar telescope and German made DMK state of the art camera! Seeing has been degrading all week long, and today was really a mess, Id say the best was around 2/5 but most of the time worse. Despite this, that one single round sunspot on the center of the disk was a real treat today - along with it was a nice white plage area and get this - a gorgeous dark stand like filament creating a stunning composition. It was awesome. I only had a few targets on the disk itself, but hey - when I looked with the gain turned up, alas - there was a stupendous tree like prom on the limb staring at me. Very nice too! So here I show you this mornings shootout with the Sun, in all its fuzzy but amazing hydrogen alpha glory.
