Details:
Started a workshop tonight for Lights Over Lapland. At the beginning of the night the clients seemed skeptical due to the horizontal snow! I was remaining positive as the forecast looked like it might break (and I've seen many nights with the blue hole of Abisko). We travelled across the lake via snow mobile and as soon as we got to the teepee we had a epic display which lasted nearly two hours. Does any one know if this was the CME that set off from the sun 2 days ago? Even with the waxing full moon the auroras where very strong to the naked eye and these photographs are taken from 0.4 to 0.6 of a second at f/2.8 and ISO 3200. Not exactly long exposures!
