There was a lot of activity to be seen on the surface of the Sun today, with active flaring all around the huge spotty sunspot group AR2443.The pattern of activity continued right across the surface with flaring also around AR2446 and AR2445 which is heading toward the western limb of the Sun. The H-alpha images were taken with a Lunt 80mm solar telescope and a Canon 700D camera, there are 20 images stacked in RegiStack6 and processed in PS CS4. The white light image was taken with a Meade 80mm refractor with a glass solar filter attached to the front of the lens and a Canon 700D camera, 20 images were stacked in RegiStax6 with settings @1/400th second exposure and ISO200.
