I took this photo at around 11:45pm at Tyus Hall on the the 5th floor at the University of West Georgia. When I took the photo of the moon, I got a pictue of another planet in the photo.

Hi Melita-Louise,

The dimmer object in your photos is not a planet - its just lens flare from the dazzling Moon.

Notice how (a) the dimmer object moves around a lot between photos, which a planet would not do; (b) it always appears the same distance from the centre of the photo as the Moon, but on the opposite side of the centre...i.e. if you draw a straight line from the Moon to the fainter object, the centre of the photo always falls halfway along that line. Thats the classic way to recognise lens flare artefacts.
