Details:
High clouds prevailed here in Southeastern Pennsylvania severely reducing the transparency. Just to say I tried, I imaged Mars and Siding Spring just hours after the comet's closest approach to the Red Planet. Pleasantly, after stacking 37 x 20 second exposures recorded through an Orion Short Tube 80 telescope and a Canon XS DSLR, I actually recorded Siding Spring very close to Mars.
