Details:
These days the comet is passing through the nebula-rich region of Orion, this dynamic and colorful background offering great photographic opportunities. From my place the comet sets with the Sun, so I had to use a remote telescope service to collect images: I chose iTelescope's T70 system in Chile, which is a 135 mm tele lens equipped with a mono camera offering an ultra-wide FOV allowing me to fit some well-known nebulae in the image: in the top left corner the familiar shape of the Horsehead Nebula appears, towards the center glows the bright Orion-nebula, while on the right side a part of the Barnard-loop can be seen as a diffuse red arc. The comet is a nice addition to the scene, still very active with a long blue ion tail (7 deg. in the image), its colour matching the blue light of the star Rigel on the bottom right. 9/9/3/6 min L/R/G/B stacked, taken from Chile, Rio Hurtado.
