Details:
The wind direction in the mesosphere shifted quite strongly to the south in the evening. So, off I went to the Landberg. At around 22:45 CEST, I saw a quite bright display rising above the horizon in the northeast. Although it was only 4° high, it was quite bright and extremely rich in the structures. There were an incredible number of waves, curls and ripples. Striking was a very bright „NLC beamer" across the image... Thank goodness I had my telephoto lens with me this time...
