1. The first method ( Natural) is normal image processing with dark-frames and flat-fields and proper stretching.

2. Natural + darken the comets head and use a little "Unsharp Mask" to get the inner structures of the comets head.

3. Natural + darken the comets head and use Rotational Gradient (Larson Sekanina Filter). Some fictive details can appear, but it looks great and dramatic.

I prefer the 2.option
