Details:
After the most recent outburst of Comet 12P Pons-Brooks the comet's appearance has changed. The "devil comet" is gone, a small tail has appeared and there is an interesting dark line in the coma. The images shown were captured on November 18 2023, using a 150 mm refractor (iTelescope T02) and a 0.6 M Planewave (iTelescope T11). Processing was done to try to optimize the coma detail. The dark line is present in both and it is notable it is curved and that the curvature appears to match the bright vent emission. The dark line gives the impression that it is a shadow of the vent emission projected onto the coma observable from Earth.
