Details:
Mars has been such an enjoyable planet to observe and image during this opposition primarily due to its high elevation in the Northern Sky amongst the stars of Taurus. With an astronomical magnification, one could actually view the Opportunity Rover within the Meridiani feature visible in this image. I used a Celestron EDGE HD C9.25 SCT with a 2x Barlow and a ZWO ASI290mm camera.
