Details:
An amazing prominence on the south-western solar limb. A magnificent sight to observe visually. I took some 200 short videos over a period of about 4 hours. Conditions were pretty good to begin with, but as the Sun was crossing the meridian conditions took a dramatic turn for the worse. This image was processed from one of the first videos taken. Equipment: 70mm ED doublet at f/25.2, ZWO ASI 178MM camera and a DayStar Quark Chromosphere filter. The image was reduced to two thirds of its original size.
