Details:
Terrific seeing made this single-frame Mars shot possible. Telescope was a 2005-vintage 6-inch doublet refractor, plus a 2X Barlow lens. Camera was a Canon T3i, for the light weight when used with the original focuser. The exposure was 1/50-sec. at ISO-200.
